Paradise at 63 Degrees [Single] (2026)

by John Lester

PARADISE AT 63 DEGREES

Words and music by John Lester

I’m living in paradise at 63 degrees

A cool wind in my hair, a little fog in the air

But this chill ain’t botherin’ me

Because I’m living in paradise at 63 degrees

We get a few sunny days when the tourists are away

Then it’s just locals in our town by the sea

Living in paradise

About 20 miles south of San Francisco

Lies a Half Moon Bay

It gleams in the sunshine

But mostly the skies are all gray

It’s close to the city yet it feels so remote

Beneath the green rolling hills lies a beautiful coast

But if you visit don’t forget your coat

(Chorus)

We bought a fixer up shack

It was a steal at a million point two

It needs an awful lot of work

But it’s got great bones and a view

It’s sits under a great big grove of eucalyptus trees

On windy days I hope one doesn’t fall on me

You gotta have a good home owner’s policy

Livin’ in

(Chorus)

(Solo)

Now every weekend out on Highway 1 there’s cars everywhere

But we don’t need to drive to the beach because we’re already there

We’ll be hanging out down at the Jettywave

Drinking a Sea Hugger cocktail while a local band plays

Sit by a fire pit, you’ll be okay, when you’re living in

(Chorus)
